Best Social Media Agencies in London (2026)
13 London social media agencies doing strong work in 2026, from creator and influencer specialists to social shops inside the big networks
Log in

Introduction
London is one of the main centres of the social and creator agency business, and the 13 agencies below cover the range: social-first creative shops, influencer and creator specialists, and community and social transformation teams. They were chosen for recent work, 2025 and 2026 recognition, and the strength of their client rosters.
Ownership in this corner of the industry changed quickly over the past two years. Accenture completed its purchase of Whalar at the end of July 2026 and placed it inside Accenture Song. PMG bought Digital Voices in January 2026, and Havas, WPP and Croud already own Wilderness, Goat and Born Social respectively. Independents still win the big domestic prizes: Campaign named Uncovered its UK Social Media Agency of the Year for 2025.
Every agency here has an active London office in 2026. The list runs in no fixed order of merit, since the right choice depends on your brief, budget and how you like to work.

What to look for in a London social media agency
Start with what the agency is built to do. Some, such as Uncovered and Born Social, are creative shops that make content for brand channels. Others, such as Billion Dollar Boy, Goat and Digital Voices, specialise in creator and influencer programmes. Battenhall, Wilderness and 1000heads put more weight on community management and on building a brand's own social team. Many briefs need a mix, so be clear which part matters most.
Ownership matters more than it did two years ago. Agencies inside Accenture, Havas, WPP or PMG can connect social work to media buying and wider consulting. Independents tend to give more senior attention and move faster. After a sale, check who will run the account and whether the tools and processes are changing.
Ask how creator partnerships are contracted and labelled. The agency should be clear on usage rights for creator content, how long paid amplification can run, and how it meets the ASA's rules on labelling advertising. For always-on work, ask who covers community management out of hours.
Finally, look at how the agency handles volume. A social programme can produce hundreds of assets a month across formats and creators, each needing review and sign-off. Agencies with a clear approval process, and a single place where clients can find the latest cut and the brand guidelines, are easier to work with over a long relationship.
How Fabric helps social media agency teams
Fabric gives a social team one workspace for its files, client feedback and planning, with AI search across all of it. The setup for social content agencies is built around running several client accounts at once, with briefs, assets, creator content and call notes kept together per client.
Content calendars work well in Kanban, where any folder becomes a board and the cards are the files themselves, so a post moves from draft to approved without a separate tracker. There is more on this in content planning with Fabric. Video and raw creator footage sit in Fabric's cloud drive, which streams files on demand and takes no local disk space.
Finding past work is quicker with search, which works by meaning across documents, images and recordings and can find visual assets by colour. Audio and video transcription makes the spoken content of creator videos and YouTube links searchable, with timestamps that jump to the moment.
For client sign-off, clients can leave threaded comments through a shared link without creating an account, and highlights and comments on documents and PDFs already work. Timestamped comments on video are coming soon. See review and approval in Fabric for the full workflow. Link analytics shows when each named recipient opened a pitch or report and how long they spent with it.
Link analytics and password protection are included on Pro and Team plans, and self-writing client docs on Team plans. See plans for teams.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best social media agency in London?
There is no single answer, as the right agency depends on the brief. On recent recognition, Campaign named Uncovered UK Social Media Agency of the Year for 2025, Whalar Group won the global title, and The Drum Honors 2025 ranked We Are Social, Billion Dollar Boy and Wilderness among the top social agencies of the year.
What is the difference between a social media agency and an influencer agency?
A social media agency usually makes content for a brand's own channels and may manage its community and paid social. An influencer agency finds, contracts and manages creators who post on their own channels. Many London agencies now do both, but most lead with one.
Who owns Whalar now?
Accenture completed its acquisition of Whalar on 31 July 2026, and the agency is part of Accenture Song. The founders kept the rest of Whalar Group, which works with Accenture Song under a three-year partnership.
How are London social media agencies usually paid?
Always-on channel management and community work are usually on monthly retainers. Campaigns and creator programmes are more often scoped as projects, with creator fees and paid media budgets agreed separately. Agree how success will be measured before the work starts.
Should I hire a social media agency or a creative agency?
If most of your audience reaches you through social feeds and creators, a social specialist will usually move faster and know the platforms better. For a brand platform that runs across TV, outdoor and social, a London creative agency may lead, with a social agency working alongside.
