Introduction
London has one of the densest clusters of advertising sound studios anywhere, most of them within a short walk of each other in Soho and Fitzrovia. The 12 studios below were chosen for recent commercial work, 2025 and 2026 recognition, and the depth of their agency and brand relationships.
The past year brought both loss and recognition. Wave Studios closed its Great Pulteney Street office in December 2025 after 27 years, with its founder citing rising costs and the shift to remote and hybrid working. At the 50th British Arrows in March 2026, 750mph was named a Craft Company of the Year for audio, alongside Untold Studios and Trim Editing. London studios also took a large share of the 2026 Music+Sound Awards finalist places announced in September, with winners due on 14 October.
Every studio here has an active London base in 2026. The list covers audio post houses as well as music companies that offer sound design and final mix. It runs in no fixed order of merit, since the right choice depends on the job, the budget and the people you want in the room.

Its agency roster includes AMV BBDO, adam&eve\TBWA, Grey and BBC Creative, with recent work for Revolut, Google, eBay, Twix and Škoda. In 2026 Alex Macrae is a Music+Sound Awards finalist for Ollo's "Trust Your Grip", and Moore is a finalist for audio mix on Channel 4 work.
3. String and Tins

5. Jungle Studios
Independent · Soho · junglestudios.co.uk
Jungle has run its audio post facility on Wardour Street since 1994, with Graham Ebbs as managing director. It covers sound design, voice recording and ADR, Dolby Cinema and spatial audio, composition and voice casting, and runs The Attic as a separate space for producers outside advertising.
In June 2026 LBB reported that Jungle recorded voice sessions for Pixar's "Toy Story 5", and LBB profiled the studio again in August. Its advertising work spans brands such as KFC and Cadbury. The casting service is useful when a script still needs its voice.

The studio has grown its leadership through 2025 and 2026, adding Jack Hallett as creative director in July 2026. Bolland and Frankie Beirne are 2026 Music+Sound Awards finalists for Tesco's "Free Fruit & Veg For Schools". Earlier clients include Ikea, Samsung and Audi.
8. Little Things
Employee-owned · Soho · littlethingssoundstudios.com
Little Things is the former Clearcut Sound Studios, which has worked in Soho for three decades and became one of the UK's first employee-owned sound studios in 2012. It took its new name around the turn of 2024 and works from Broadwick Street, led by managing partners Chris Wrigglesworth and James Clark.
The studio stays deliberately small and focuses on voice recording and sound design for agencies and brands. Agency clients have included VCCP, Ogilvy and M&C Saatchi, and brand work includes M&S, BBC, Netflix, Burger King and Volkswagen.
9. Mcasso
Independent · Soho · mcasso.com
Mcasso is a music and sound company on Great Marlborough Street with in-house composers, producers, music supervisors and sound engineers. Music supervision runs through sister company Curved Arrow, and games music through End Level Boss.
Recent work includes Virgin Atlantic's "Live On Air" with the Sugababes, Fortnum & Mason, Safestyle's "No Nightmares" and the score for the feature "MODEM". It offers sound and mix as well as music, so a single team can take a spot from composition to final delivery.
10. Wake The Town
Independent · Shoreditch · wakethetown.com
Wake The Town is a music company on Hackney Road covering composition, music supervision, re-recording and TV and film work. It also runs a separate Voices platform for voice talent.
Its commercial portfolio includes McDonald's, Samsung, Toyota, EE, John Lewis, M&S, HSBC and Lexus. It suits campaigns where the music track carries the idea and needs to be written, sourced or re-recorded.
11. Pitch & Sync
Independent · Shoreditch · pitchandsync.com
Pitch & Sync is an independent music and sound agency that has worked for more than two decades, founded by Simon Robinson and Alex Lavery. It added an audio post studio in 2020, led by sound designer Ben Hauke, formerly Mother London's in-house engineer, and now offers sync, strategy, sonic branding and studio services under one roof.
Recent clients include Absolut, Nike, adidas Originals, Ford, On, Jaffa Cakes and Krispy Kreme. Brands that need licensing and final mix from one supplier will find that useful.
12. Grand Central Recording Studios
Independent · Soho · gcrs.com
Grand Central Recording Studios (GCRS) runs six studios in Soho, based on Great Marlborough Street, with AMS Neve DFC and Avid ICON desks and Dolby-licensed rooms for surround mixing. It works on commercials, broadcast content and film trailers.
The facility also handles ADR, sound editorial and foley for television, with credits including "Line of Duty", "Killing Eve" and "Gangs of London", and describes itself as the only SAG-approved facility in Soho. That makes it a practical choice when a campaign shares talent or schedules with long-form drama.
What to look for in a London sound design studio
Decide first whether you need an audio post house or a music company. Studios such as 750mph, Jungle and Sine centre on sound design, voice records and final mix. Companies such as Soundtree, Mcasso and Wake The Town start from music, though most now offer sound and mix too. Having both under one roof can save a round of handovers on a tight schedule.
Ask who will sit at the desk. In London the sound designer or mixer is often the reason an agency books a studio, and names such as Anthony Moore at Factory or Sam Ashwell at 750mph carry their own following. Confirm that person is available for the session and the final mix, and who covers if dates move.
Check the rooms against the deliverables. Cinema and spatial work needs Dolby-licensed suites, and broadcast spots need loudness-compliant masters for each channel. Remote sessions through Source Connect are standard now, which helps when clients or voice talent cannot come to Soho.
Finally, agree how files and approvals will move. A single spot can produce dozens of stems, alternate mixes and cutdowns, and those versions travel between the studio, the edit house and the agency. Studios that label versions clearly and keep one current reference for client sign-off make late changes far less painful.
How Fabric helps sound design teams
Fabric gives a studio or an agency audio team one workspace for session files, stems, references and client feedback, with AI search across all of it. Large WAV files and session folders sit in Fabric's cloud drive, which streams files on demand so they take no local disk space, and shared team folders always hold the latest version. The built-in viewer plays files without a download. There is more on this in your audio sessions are scattered.
Audio and video transcription turns uploaded MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4 and MOV files into searchable text with clickable timestamps, which helps when hunting for a line in a long voice record. Search then works by meaning across documents, transcripts and connected apps such as Google Drive and Dropbox, and results jump to the right timestamp.
For client delivery, a folder of mixes can be published as a web page and protected with a password. Link analytics shows when each named recipient opened the link and how long they spent with it. Agency producers can leave threaded comments through a shared link without signing up. Timestamped comments on audio and video are coming soon to annotations.
On Team plans, self-writing docs can keep a page for each client from meetings, Slack and the workspace, covering decisions, deliverables and open items. A producer picking up a job mid-schedule can see which mix was approved without asking around.
Password protection and link analytics are included on Pro and Team plans, and self-writing docs on Team plans. See plans for teams.
