Sync starred repo bookmarks from your GitHub account.

### What is the GitHub stars connection?

On GitHub, starring a repo is how you say "I'll come back to this." The trouble is what happens next: the stars pile up into a list of hundreds, sorted by when you starred them, and the library you meant to build becomes a place repos go to be forgotten. This connection syncs your GitHub stars into Fabric so that list becomes something you can search by meaning, back up, and reach from any device.

### What you get when you connect GitHub stars

Connecting your GitHub stars brings every repo you've starred into Fabric as a saved, searchable item. Each one comes in as a bookmark to the repo, its name, description, README, and topics, so you can find it later by what it actually does rather than by a name you've half-forgotten. The repo still lives on GitHub; Fabric holds the reference and makes it findable.

Your stars also stop being a list you only see on GitHub. They're backed up to your Fabric library and available on your phone, tablet, and the web, so the repo you starred at your desk is there when you're reading on the train.

### Find a repo by what it does, not what it's called

This is the part GitHub's own stars page can't do. It sorts by date and matches names. Fabric lets you describe the thing: "that library for parsing PDFs in Python" or "the self-hosted analytics tool I starred a while back," and [semantic search](https://fabric.so/features/search) surfaces the repo from its description and README, even when you can't remember what it was called.

Because your stars sit in the same library as everything else, they also connect to the rest of your work. A repo you starred turns up next to the article you clipped about the same technique and the note you wrote while evaluating it, since Fabric [maps the relationships](https://fabric.so/features/search) across everything you save. You can point the [AI assistant](https://fabric.so/features/ai-assistant) at your stars too, and ask it to find the ones relevant to a problem you're working on.

### How people use it

**Developers** star repos all week and rely on Fabric to surface the right one when they hit the problem it solves, instead of scrolling months of stars trying to recognise a name.

**Engineers evaluating tools** keep their shortlist of starred libraries in Fabric alongside their notes and the docs they've clipped, so the comparison they were doing is all in one place. It fits the way Fabric works for [developers](https://fabric.so/for/developers).

**Researchers and tinkerers** save interesting projects as stars and let Fabric connect them to the rest of their reading, so a repo found a year ago resurfaces when it becomes relevant.

The longer you use it, the more your stars pay off. As they join the rest of your library, Fabric [builds a richer map](https://fabric.so/features/search) of how the tools and ideas you save relate, so the right repo surfaces when you need it rather than sinking down a list.

### Frequently asked questions

**What does the GitHub stars connection do?**

It syncs the repos you've starred on GitHub into Fabric, where they're backed up, searchable by meaning, and available on all your devices. Each starred repo becomes a saved item you can find by what it does and connect to the rest of your library.

**Can I search my GitHub stars by what a repo does?**

Yes. Fabric indexes each starred repo's description, README, and topics, so you can find it with [semantic search](https://fabric.so/features/search) by describing its purpose, rather than needing to remember the repo's name.

**Does Fabric index the code inside my starred repos?**

No. The connection brings in each repo as a bookmark, its name, description, README, and topics, not the full codebase. That's what makes it searchable by what the repo is for. The code stays on GitHub.

**Will my stars be available on my phone and other devices?**

Yes. Your synced stars live in your Fabric library, which is on every device, so they're on your phone, tablet, and the web, not just your GitHub stars page.

**Does this change my stars on GitHub?**

No. The connection reads your stars and brings them into Fabric. Your stars on GitHub are unaffected, and the repos themselves stay where they are.

**Can the AI assistant work with my starred repos?**

Yes. The [AI assistant](https://fabric.so/features/ai-assistant) can search across your stars and surface the ones relevant to what you're working on, alongside the rest of your saved material.

**How is this different from GitHub's own stars page?**

GitHub's stars page lists repos by date and matches on names. Fabric lets you search them by meaning, connects them to your other notes and saved content, and keeps them available across your devices. It turns a long chronological list into something you can actually retrieve from.

**Will newly starred repos sync automatically?**

Yes. As you star new repos on GitHub, they're brought into Fabric, so your library keeps in step without a manual re-import.

**Is my data secure in Fabric?**

Everything in Fabric is encrypted in transit and at rest, with AES-256 encryption on stored content. The details are in the [privacy and security guide](https://fabric.so/guide/privacy-and-security/basics) and Fabric's [privacy commitment](https://fabric.so/info/privacy).

**Does Fabric work with other tools alongside GitHub stars?**

Yes. GitHub stars is one of many [connections](https://fabric.so/connections). You can also bring in [Google Drive](https://fabric.so/marketplace/connections/google-drive/x52cHqan), [Dropbox](https://fabric.so/marketplace/connections/dropbox/ozUGYV4C), [Notion](https://fabric.so/marketplace/connections/notion/S7HtdFtL), and [Gmail](https://fabric.so/marketplace/connections/gmail/5zZcTVqZ), and search across them all at once.

Sync your GitHub stars to Fabric and search them by what each repo does, not by name. Never lose a starred repo again. Try Fabric free.

Access your Fabric without leaving Raycast.

### What is Raycast?

Raycast is a launcher for Mac, a command bar you summon with a keystroke to do things fast without reaching for the mouse or hunting through apps. Type a few characters and you can open an app, run a calculation, search, or trigger an action, then it disappears again. It's built around staying on the keyboard and not breaking your flow. Extensions let it reach into other tools, and the Fabric extension lets it reach into your Fabric library.

### What you can do with Fabric from Raycast

The Fabric Raycast extension puts three things a keystroke away, so you can use Fabric without leaving what you're doing.

**Search your Fabric library.** Open Raycast, start typing, and search across everything you've saved in Fabric, your files, notes, and saved content, then jump straight to what you find. The thing you need is there without opening the app and losing your place.

**Save a link or file.** Found something worth keeping? Send it to Fabric from the command bar in the moment you see it, rather than leaving a tab open as a reminder to deal with later.

**Create a note.** Catch an idea the second it lands. Open Raycast, write the note, and it's in your Fabric library, no app to open, no flow to break.

The point is the absence of friction. The small tax of switching apps, the one that turns "I'll save this" into a tab you never come back to, is what the extension removes. Fabric stays a keystroke away while you work in everything else.

### How people use it

**Developers and people who live on the keyboard** already run their day through Raycast and add Fabric so saving a link or capturing a note is part of the same muscle memory, never a detour into another app. It fits the way Fabric works for [developers](https://fabric.so/for/developers).

**Researchers** save sources the instant they find them, straight from the command bar, so the thing they spotted mid-task makes it into their library and turns up later in their [research workflow](https://fabric.so/learn/research-workflow).

**Writers and creators** catch ideas the moment they arrive, a line, a reference, a thought, without breaking the work they're in to do it.

**Anyone deep in focused work** can pull up something from Fabric or drop something into it without the context-switch that opening an app would cost, then carry on.

### Frequently asked questions

**What is the Fabric Raycast extension?**

It's an extension that brings Fabric into Raycast, the Mac command bar, so you can search your Fabric library, save links and files, and create notes without opening the Fabric app. It's made by Fabric.

**What can I do with Fabric from Raycast?**

Three things: search everything in your Fabric library, save a link or file to Fabric, and create a note. Each runs from the Raycast command bar, so you stay in whatever you were doing.

**Can I search my whole Fabric library from Raycast?**

Yes. The extension searches across what you've saved in Fabric, so you can find and open something without switching to the app. For the deeper, meaning-based search, the full [search experience](https://fabric.so/features/search) lives in Fabric itself.

**Do I need a Fabric account to use it?**

Yes. The extension connects Raycast to your existing Fabric library, so you sign in with your Fabric account. If you don't have one yet, you can start free.

**Does it work on Windows?**

Raycast is a Mac app, so the Fabric Raycast extension runs where Raycast runs. On other platforms you can reach Fabric through the [web, mobile, and desktop apps](https://fabric.so/connections) and the other connections.

**How is this different from the other Fabric connections?**

Most [connections](https://fabric.so/connections) bring content from another service into Fabric. The Raycast extension goes the other way: it's a fast way to reach your Fabric library, search it, and add to it, from outside the app. It's about speed of access rather than syncing a new source in.

**Is it made by Fabric?**

Yes. The Raycast extension is built by Fabric.

**Is my data secure?**

Everything in Fabric is encrypted in transit and at rest, with AES-256 encryption on stored content. The extension works against your own Fabric library. The details are in the [privacy and security guide](https://fabric.so/guide/privacy-and-security/basics) and Fabric's [privacy commitment](https://fabric.so/info/privacy).

**Does Fabric work with other tools as well?**

Yes. Raycast is one of many [connections](https://fabric.so/connections). Alongside it you can bring content in from [Google Drive](https://fabric.so/marketplace/connections/google-drive/x52cHqan), [Dropbox](https://fabric.so/marketplace/connections/dropbox/ozUGYV4C), [Notion](https://fabric.so/marketplace/connections/notion/S7HtdFtL), and [Gmail](https://fabric.so/marketplace/connections/gmail/5zZcTVqZ), and search across all of it.

Search Fabric, save links, and create notes straight from Raycast, no app-switching. Reach your library from the command bar. Try Fabric free.

Create zaps that add, modify or access your Fabric content.

### What is Zapier?

Zapier connects apps to each other so they can pass information back and forth automatically, without anyone writing code. You build a "zap": a small automation with two parts, a trigger ("when this happens") and an action ("do that"). When the trigger fires in one app, Zapier carries out the action in another. A new entry in a form could create a row in a spreadsheet; a new email could post a message in a chat app. Zapier links thousands of the most widely used apps this way, and the Fabric connection puts your Fabric library among them.

### Automatically save things into Fabric

The first direction is inbound: when something happens in another app, Zapier can create or update content in Fabric for you. The save-it-to-Fabric step you'd otherwise do by hand stops being a step at all.

A few examples of what a zap could do, using popular apps Zapier connects to:

**Save email to Fabric.** When an email arrives in Gmail matching a label or rule you set, have its content created as an item in your Fabric library automatically, so the things worth keeping land there without forwarding them yourself. There's also a direct [Gmail connection](https://fabric.so/marketplace/connections/gmail/5zZcTVqZ) if you want your mail searchable in Fabric more broadly.

**Capture form responses.** When someone submits a Typeform or Google Form, drop the response into Fabric so it sits with the rest of your material instead of only in the form's own dashboard.

**Log what matters from a spreadsheet.** When a new row is added to a Google Sheet, create a corresponding note or item in Fabric, so a tracked list and your wider library stay in step.

In each case Fabric is the action: the place the information lands when the trigger fires elsewhere.

### Make Fabric trigger actions in other apps

The second direction is outbound: when something happens in Fabric, Zapier can respond in another app, using the details of what changed. Here Fabric is the trigger, and thousands of apps can be the action.

For example, when a new item is saved or created in your Fabric, a zap could post a note in a Slack channel, add an event to your Google Calendar, append a row to a Google Sheet, or send an email through Gmail, carrying across the relevant details from the Fabric item. Saving something in one place can quietly set off whatever should happen next, without you wiring it up each time.

### Search and connect, both ways

Between those two directions, Zapier gives Fabric a place in your wider set of tools rather than off to one side. Other apps can write into your library, your library can set things off elsewhere, and zaps can read and search your Fabric content as part of a flow. The repetitive copying and forwarding you do to keep tools in sync, the small manual tax that adds up across a week, is what this is built to remove.

### How people use it

**Operators and teams** wire the apps they already run on into Fabric, so the things worth keeping collect in one library automatically instead of being copied over by hand.

**Researchers** route saved items, form responses, and captured sources into Fabric through zaps, so material gathers in their library as part of a longer [research workflow](https://fabric.so/learn/research-workflow) without manual filing.

**Founders and busy people** set up a handful of zaps once and let routine plumbing, logging, notifying, saving, run itself, freeing the attention they'd spend moving things between apps.

**Anyone with a tool Fabric doesn't connect to directly** can often bridge it through Zapier, since it links thousands of apps, and reach Fabric that way.

### Frequently asked questions

**What does the Zapier connection do?**

It lets you automate Fabric with Zapier, the no-code automation tool. You can build zaps that add or update content in Fabric when something happens in another app, or that respond in other apps when something happens in Fabric. It's made by Fabric.

**What is a zap?**

A zap is a small automation with two parts: a trigger ("when this happens") and an action ("do that"). When the trigger fires in one app, Zapier performs the action in another, with no code involved.

**Can Zapier add content to my Fabric automatically?**

Yes. A zap can create or update items in your Fabric library when a trigger fires in another app, for example when an email arrives, a form is submitted, or a spreadsheet row is added.

**Can something in Fabric trigger an action in another app?**

Yes. When a new item is saved or created in your Fabric, a zap can respond in another app, posting to a chat, adding a calendar event, sending an email, using the details of the Fabric item.

**Which apps can I connect Fabric to through Zapier?**

Zapier links thousands of the most widely used apps, so Fabric can connect to a great many of them, including popular tools for email, spreadsheets, forms, chat, and calendars. If a tool isn't one of Fabric's direct [connections](https://fabric.so/connections), Zapier is often the way to bridge it.

**Do I need to write code?**

No. Zapier is built for no-code automation. You set the trigger and the action in Zapier's interface and the zap runs on its own.

**Do I need a Zapier account?**

Yes. You build and run zaps in Zapier, connected to your Fabric account. Zapier's own plans determine how many zaps and how much volume you can run.

**How is this different from Fabric's direct connections?**

Direct [connections](https://fabric.so/connections) like [Google Drive](https://fabric.so/marketplace/connections/google-drive/x52cHqan) or [Notion](https://fabric.so/marketplace/connections/notion/S7HtdFtL) bring a specific service's content into Fabric, with search and AI built around it. Zapier is broader and more flexible: it automates moving information between Fabric and thousands of apps in both directions, but it's about automation and wiring rather than deeply indexing another service.

**Is my data secure?**

Everything in Fabric is encrypted in transit and at rest, with AES-256 encryption on stored content. Zapier moves the data your zaps are set up to move, between Fabric and the apps you connect. The details are in the [privacy and security guide](https://fabric.so/guide/privacy-and-security/basics) and Fabric's [privacy commitment](https://fabric.so/info/privacy).

**Does Fabric work with other tools as well?**

Yes. Zapier is one of many [connections](https://fabric.so/connections). Alongside it you can bring content in directly from [Google Drive](https://fabric.so/marketplace/connections/google-drive/x52cHqan), [Dropbox](https://fabric.so/marketplace/connections/dropbox/ozUGYV4C), [Notion](https://fabric.so/marketplace/connections/notion/S7HtdFtL), and [Gmail](https://fabric.so/marketplace/connections/gmail/5zZcTVqZ).

### What is Stripe?

Stripe is the payments infrastructure a great many businesses run on, charges, subscriptions, invoices, customers, disputes, refunds. Keeping on top of it means living in the dashboard: watching for failed payments and disputes, creating invoices and payment links, updating customer records, checking balances. This connection lets Fabric's assistant do that work for you, and makes your Stripe activity searchable in Fabric.

### What Fabric's assistant can do with Stripe

Once your Stripe is connected, Fabric's [AI assistant](https://fabric.so/features/ai-assistant) can act on your Stripe account from plain-language requests.

**Look things up.** Find a customer, charge, invoice, payment, or subscription; check an account balance or balance transactions; retrieve an account by ID, without opening the dashboard.

**Create and manage billing.** Create customers, invoices, payments, payment links, products, prices, and subscriptions, create a checkout session, confirm a payment, update a customer, cancel a subscription, or deactivate a payment link.

Because you ask in your own words, you're describing what you want to happen, and the assistant maps it to the right Stripe operation.

### You stay in control

Stripe actions move money and change billing, so control matters here more than anywhere. The assistant acts only when you ask, and for anything consequential, creating a charge or payment, cancelling a subscription, issuing or affecting a refund, it confirms with you before going ahead, unless you've explicitly told it not to for a particular task. Looking things up and finding records never change anything.

When something should run regularly, you can set up a [Fabric AI job](https://fabric.so/features/agents) that runs on a schedule, flagging failed payments, following up on disputes, generating a recurring invoice, so the routine parts happen on their own while you keep approval over anything that moves money.

### Search your Stripe from Fabric

Alongside the assistant, connecting Stripe adds keyword search over your Stripe data from Fabric's main search, so a customer, invoice, or charge is findable by matching text in the same place you search the rest of your library, rather than hunting through the dashboard.

### How people use it

**Founders and operators** handle billing admin, creating invoices and payment links, updating customers, checking balances, by asking rather than clicking through Stripe, useful for anyone [running a business on their own time](https://fabric.so/for/founders).

**Finance and ops teams** have the assistant surface and act on payment events, failed payments, disputes, refunds, so problems get caught without someone watching the dashboard.

**Sales teams** spin up payment links, customers, and subscriptions as deals close, keeping billing moving in step with the pipeline. It fits how Fabric works for [sales](https://fabric.so/for/sales).

**Anyone with recurring billing work** sets up a scheduled or event-triggered [AI job](https://fabric.so/features/agents) to handle the repetitive parts, while keeping approval over the consequential ones.

### Frequently asked questions

**What does the Stripe connection do?**

It lets Fabric's [AI assistant](https://fabric.so/features/ai-assistant) work with your Stripe account, taking actions like creating invoices, payment links, customers, and subscriptions, confirming payments, and updating records. It also adds keyword search over your Stripe data in Fabric.

It can find customers, charges, invoices, payments, and subscriptions, check balances, and create or manage customers, invoices, payments, payment links, products, prices, subscriptions, and checkout sessions, confirm payments, update customers, cancel subscriptions, and deactivate payment links. You ask in plain language rather than choosing from a fixed list.

**Does the assistant move money or change billing on its own?**

No. It acts only when you ask, and for consequential actions, creating charges or payments, cancelling subscriptions, anything affecting money, it confirms with you first, unless you've deliberately told it not to for a specific task. Looking up and finding records change nothing.

**Can I automate Stripe workflows?**

Yes. A [Fabric AI job](https://fabric.so/features/agents) can run on a schedule, for example flagging failed payments or following up on disputes, while you keep approval over anything that moves money.

**Can I search my Stripe data?**

Yes, by keyword, from Fabric's main search, so a customer, invoice, or charge is findable by matching text alongside the rest of your library.

**Will it issue refunds or cancel subscriptions without asking?**

No. Nothing that affects money or billing happens without your confirmation, unless you've chosen to let a specific task run without it.

**Is my Stripe data secure?**

Everything in Fabric is encrypted in transit and at rest. The connection acts on your Stripe account with your authorisation, and you control what it does. The details are in the [privacy and security guide](https://fabric.so/features/private-and-secure) and Fabric's [privacy commitment](https://fabric.so/info/privacy).

**Does this work through MCP or the API?**

Fabric also exposes your library and connected tools to external AI through its [MCP server](https://fabric.so/features/mcp) and [API](https://fabric.so/features/api); this connection is the built-in way to have Fabric's own assistant work with your Stripe.

### What is GitHub?

GitHub is where most software gets built and stored, repositories, branches, commits, pull requests, issues, reviews, releases. Working across it is a constant stream of actions: filing and triaging issues, opening and updating pull requests, reviewing, branching, checking files. This connection lets Fabric's assistant handle much of that for you, in plain language.

### What Fabric's assistant can do with GitHub

Once your GitHub is connected, Fabric's [AI assistant](https://fabric.so/features/ai-assistant) can act on your repos from plain-language requests.

**Find and read.** Find a branch, repository, issue, pull request, user, or organization, get the contents of a file, and check organization membership, so you can locate code and context without leaving what you're doing.

**Manage issues and pull requests.** Create and update issues and pull requests, find or create either, add labels, create comments, and submit reviews, the everyday triage and review work.

**Work with code and repos.** Create branches, create or update files, delete branches, create gists, and set your profile status, so routine repo actions can be asked for rather than done by hand.

Because you ask in your own words, you describe what should happen and the assistant maps it to the right GitHub action or trigger.

### You stay in control

The assistant acts only when you ask. For anything consequential, creating or updating a file, deleting a branch, opening or updating a pull request, submitting a review, it confirms with you before going ahead, unless you've told it not to for a particular task. Finding, reading, and getting file contents never change anything in your repos.

When something should happen regularly, you can set up a [Fabric AI job](https://fabric.so/features/agents) that runs on a schedule, triaging and labelling new issues, commenting on pull requests, posting release notes, so the routine work runs itself while you keep approval over anything that changes code or branches.

### Search your GitHub from Fabric

Alongside the assistant, connecting GitHub adds keyword search over your GitHub content from Fabric's main search, so an issue, pull request, or repo is findable by matching text in the same place you search the rest of your library, rather than searching GitHub separately.

### How people use it

**Engineers** file and triage issues, open and update pull requests, and read file contents by asking, keeping the workflow moving without leaving their train of thought. It fits how Fabric works for [developers](https://fabric.so/for/developers).

**Maintainers** let repo activity, new issues, pull requests, review requests, trigger follow-on actions like labelling, commenting, or notifying.

**Teams** have the assistant handle routine review and triage, so the repetitive parts of keeping repos tidy take less attention.

**People with recurring repo chores** set up a scheduled [AI job](https://fabric.so/features/agents) to handle triage, labelling, or release notes, while keeping approval over anything that changes code.

**How is this different from the GitHub Stars connection?**

The [GitHub Stars connection](https://fabric.so/marketplace/connections/github-stars/RufmnA3o) brings your starred repos into Fabric so they're searchable by what they do. This connection is the working one: the assistant acts across your repos, issues, and pull requests, and adds keyword search. One saves the repos you've bookmarked; the other helps you work. You can use both.

**Will it change code or delete branches without asking?**

No. Nothing that changes code, files, or branches happens without your confirmation, unless you've chosen to let a specific task run without it.

**Is my GitHub data secure?**

Everything in Fabric is encrypted in transit and at rest. The connection acts on your GitHub with your authorisation, and you control what it does. ### What is HubSpot?

HubSpot is a full CRM platform spanning sales, marketing, and service, contacts and companies, deals and pipeline, tickets, products, lists, and workflows. Keeping it current is constant work: logging contacts, moving deals through stages, updating companies, creating tickets, managing lists. This connection lets Fabric's assistant handle that for you, in plain language.

### What Fabric's assistant can do with HubSpot

Once your HubSpot is connected, Fabric's [AI assistant](https://fabric.so/features/ai-assistant) can act on your CRM from plain-language requests.

**Find and read.** Find or get contacts, companies, deals, tickets, products, line items, and custom objects; find deals, associations, owners by email or ID, pipeline stage details, and products, so you can pull the record or context you need without opening HubSpot.

**Manage the pipeline.** Create and update deals and line items, move deals through stages, create and update companies and contacts, and manage the associations between them, so your pipeline stays current as work happens.

**Handle marketing and service.** Add and remove contacts from lists, add contacts to workflows, create engagements, form submissions, tickets, social messages, and blog posts, and update subscription preferences, so the marketing and support side stays in step too.

Because you ask in your own words, you describe what you want and the assistant maps it to the right HubSpot action or trigger.

### You stay in control

The assistant acts only when you ask. For anything consequential, deleting a CRM object, removing associations or a contact from a list, updating a record in a way that overwrites, it confirms with you before going ahead, unless you've told it not to for a particular task. Finding, getting, and reading records never change anything in your CRM.

When something should happen regularly, you can set up a [Fabric AI job](https://fabric.so/features/agents) that runs on a schedule, updating records in bulk, tidying lists, generating a routine report, so the routine CRM work runs itself while you keep approval over anything that deletes or overwrites.

### Search your HubSpot from Fabric

Alongside the assistant, connecting HubSpot adds keyword search over your CRM records from Fabric's main search, so a contact, company, or deal is findable by matching text in the same place you search the rest of your library, rather than searching HubSpot separately.

### How people use it

**Sales teams** keep the pipeline current by asking the assistant to create and update deals, log contacts, and move stages, rather than filling in fields by hand. It fits how Fabric works for [sales](https://fabric.so/for/sales).

**Founders** run their CRM without living in it, updating contacts and deals in a sentence while staying in their other work, useful for anyone [running lean](https://fabric.so/for/founders).

**Marketers** manage lists, workflows, forms, and engagements, and have contact and form activity trigger follow-on actions. It suits how Fabric works for [marketers](https://fabric.so/for/marketers).

**Teams with recurring CRM work** set up a scheduled [AI job](https://fabric.so/features/agents) to handle routine updates and follow-ups, while keeping approval over anything destructive.

### Frequently asked questions

**What does the HubSpot connection do?**

It lets Fabric's [AI assistant](https://fabric.so/features/ai-assistant) run your HubSpot CRM, taking actions across contacts, companies, deals, tickets, products, lists, and workflows. It also adds keyword search over your CRM in Fabric.

**What can the assistant do in HubSpot?**

It can find, get, create, update, and delete contacts, companies, deals, tickets, products, line items, and custom objects, manage associations and lists, add contacts to workflows, and create engagements, tickets, form submissions, social messages, and blog posts. You ask in plain language rather than choosing from a fixed list.

**Does the assistant change my CRM on its own?**

No. It acts only when you ask, and for consequential actions, deleting records, removing associations or list membership, overwriting data, it confirms with you first, unless you've deliberately told it not to for a specific task. Finding and reading change nothing.

**Can I automate CRM work?**

Yes. A [Fabric AI job](https://fabric.so/features/agents) can run on a schedule, for example creating a ticket from a form or updating a deal on a stage change, while you keep approval over anything that deletes or overwrites.

**Can I search my HubSpot from Fabric?**

Yes, by keyword, from Fabric's main search, so a contact, company, or deal is findable by matching text alongside the rest of your library.

**How is this different from the Clay connection?**

The Clay connection works with Clay's data tables, finding and updating records. HubSpot is a full CRM platform, so this connection spans the whole funnel, contacts, companies, deals, tickets, lists, workflows, marketing, and service. Choose Clay for lightweight tables, HubSpot for a complete CRM.

**Will it delete records or overwrite data without asking?**

No. Nothing that deletes or overwrites happens without your confirmation, unless you've chosen to let a specific task run without it.

**Is my HubSpot data secure?**

Everything in Fabric is encrypted in transit and at rest. The connection acts on your CRM with your authorisation, and you control what it does. The details are in the [privacy and security guide](https://fabric.so/features/private-and-secure) and Fabric's [privacy commitment](https://fabric.so/info/privacy).

**Does this work through MCP or the API?**

Fabric also exposes your library and connected tools to external AI through its [MCP server](https://fabric.so/features/mcp) and [API](https://fabric.so/features/api); this connection is the built-in way to have Fabric's own assistant work with your HubSpot.

**Does Fabric work with other tools alongside HubSpot?**

Yes. HubSpot is one of many [connections](https://fabric.so/features/connections). You can also connect [Notion](https://fabric.so/marketplace/connections/notion/S7HtdFtL), [Google Drive](https://fabric.so/marketplace/connections/google-drive/x52cHqan), and [Gmail](https://fabric.so/marketplace/connections/gmail/5zZcTVqZ), and automate across many apps with [Zapier](https://fabric.so/marketplace/connections/zapier/6PbgsvZS).

Find, create, and update records, run reports, and launch flows in Salesforce.

_Powered by Zapier._

### What is Salesforce?

Salesforce is the enterprise CRM many organisations run their sales, service, and operations on, records and objects, leads and contacts, cases and campaigns, reports, and the flows and custom logic built on top. It's powerful and highly configured, which is also why day-to-day work in it is heavy: creating and updating records, converting leads, running reports, launching flows, keeping data clean. This connection lets Fabric's assistant handle that for you, in plain language.

### What Fabric's assistant can do with Salesforce

Once your Salesforce is connected, Fabric's [AI assistant](https://fabric.so/features/ai-assistant) can act on your org from plain-language requests.

**Find and query.** Find records, child records, and records by query, get record attachments, and run custom SOQL and SOSL queries, so you can pull exactly the records you need, however your org is structured.

**Create and update records.** Create, update, and delete records, create child records with line-item support, find-or-create records, convert a lead to a contact, and create contacts, leads, notes, enhanced notes, files, and attachments, so keeping the CRM current becomes something you ask for.

**Run the business logic.** Add contacts and leads to campaigns, launch flows, run reports, send email, and call Apex REST, so the automation and reporting built into your org can be triggered without opening it.

You describe what you want and the assistant maps it to the right Salesforce action or trigger.

### You stay in control

The assistant acts only when you ask. For anything consequential, deleting a record, converting a lead, launching a flow, sending email, it confirms with you before going ahead, unless you've told it not to for a particular task. Finding, querying, and reading records never change anything in your org.

When something should happen regularly, you can set up a [Fabric AI job](https://fabric.so/features/agents) that runs on a schedule, creating a follow-up task when a record changes, adding new leads to a campaign, running a report on a cadence, so the routine work runs itself while you keep approval over anything that deletes, converts, or sends.

### Search your Salesforce from Fabric

Alongside the assistant, connecting Salesforce adds keyword search over your records from Fabric's main search, so a contact, lead, or case is findable by matching text in the same place you search the rest of your library, rather than searching Salesforce separately.

### How people use it

**Sales teams** keep records current and move leads and deals along by asking the assistant, rather than clicking through the org. It fits how Fabric works for [sales](https://fabric.so/for/sales).

**Ops and admins** use the query tools to pull exactly the records they need, and launch flows or run reports without building a new view each time.

**Consultants and account teams** keep client records and cases up to date and let record activity trigger follow-on work, useful for anyone working across [client accounts](https://fabric.so/for/consultants).

**Teams with recurring CRM work** set up a scheduled [AI job](https://fabric.so/features/agents) to handle routine updates and reporting, while keeping approval over anything destructive.

Yes. The assistant can run reports and launch flows on request, and a [Fabric AI job](https://fabric.so/features/agents) can do so on a schedule, while you keep approval over consequential actions.

**Can I use SOQL or SOSL queries?**

Yes. It supports custom SOQL and SOSL queries, so you can pull exactly the records you need however your org is structured, useful for configured orgs with custom objects.

**Can I search my Salesforce from Fabric?**

Yes, by keyword, from Fabric's main search, so a record is findable by matching text alongside the rest of your library.

Manage orders, products, inventory, and customers in Shopify.

_Powered by Zapier._

### What is Shopify?

Shopify is the platform many businesses run their online store on, orders, products, inventory, customers, fulfillment, and the storefront around them. Running it is a constant stream of operational work: processing and fulfilling orders, updating products and inventory, managing customers, handling refunds and drafts. This connection lets Fabric's assistant handle much of that for you, in plain language.

### What Fabric's assistant can do with Shopify

Once your Shopify is connected, Fabric's [AI assistant](https://fabric.so/features/ai-assistant) can act on your store from plain-language requests.

**Find and read.** Find customers, orders, products, variants, and metafields, get an order or its fulfillment orders by ID, and find order transactions, so you can pull what you need without opening the admin.

**Manage orders.** Create and update orders and draft orders, add line items, capture an order, mark it as paid, create a fulfillment, and issue gift cards, so processing sales can be handed off.

**Manage products and inventory.** Create, update, and publish products and variants, update inventory items and quantities, and find-or-create products and variants, so your catalogue and stock stay current.

**Manage customers.** Create and update customers and companies, create a company location, and add or remove tags, so your customer records stay in order.

You describe what you want and the assistant maps it to the right Shopify action or trigger.

### You stay in control

The assistant acts only when you ask. For anything consequential, capturing an order, marking it paid, creating a fulfillment, publishing a product, updating inventory, it confirms with you before going ahead, unless you've told it not to for a particular task. Finding and reading never change anything in your store.

When something should happen regularly, you can set up a [Fabric AI job](https://fabric.so/features/agents) that runs on a schedule, tagging customers after an order, flagging abandoned carts, updating inventory from another source, so the routine store work runs itself while you keep approval over anything that captures, fulfils, or publishes.

### Search your Shopify from Fabric

Alongside the assistant, connecting Shopify adds keyword search over your store from Fabric's main search, so an order, product, or customer is findable by matching text in the same place you search the rest of your library, rather than searching the admin separately.

### How people use it

**Store owners** process and fulfil orders, update products, and manage inventory by asking, keeping the store running without living in the admin. It fits anyone [running a business on their own time](https://fabric.so/for/founders).

**Ops teams** let store activity, a new order, an abandoned cart, a refund, trigger follow-on actions like tagging, fulfilling, or notifying.

**Merchants managing a catalogue** create, update, and publish products and variants in bulk by asking, rather than editing each by hand.

**Teams with recurring store work** set up a scheduled [AI job](https://fabric.so/features/agents) to handle it, while keeping approval over anything that captures, fulfils, or publishes.

### What is GitLab?

GitLab is where many teams host code and run their development workflow, repositories, branches, commits, issues, merge requests, and the CI jobs that build and ship. Working across it is a constant stream of actions: opening and updating merge requests, filing issues, branching, commenting, reviewing. This connection lets Fabric's assistant handle much of that for you, in plain language.

### What Fabric's assistant can do with GitLab

Once your GitLab is connected, Fabric's [AI assistant](https://fabric.so/features/ai-assistant) can act on your projects from plain-language requests.

**Find merge requests.** Find project, group, or all merge requests, so you can locate the work in flight without scanning projects.

**Manage issues and merge requests.** Create issues and merge requests, add notes to issues and merge requests, and update merge requests, the everyday triage and review work.

**Work with code.** Create branches and commits, so routine repo actions can be asked for rather than done by hand.

You describe what you want and the assistant maps it to the right GitLab action or trigger.

### You stay in control

The assistant acts only when you ask. For anything consequential, creating a commit or branch, opening or updating a merge request, it confirms with you before going ahead, unless you've told it not to for a particular task. Finding and reading never change anything in your projects.

When something should happen regularly, you can set up a [Fabric AI job](https://fabric.so/features/agents) that runs on a schedule, triaging new issues, commenting on merge requests, so the routine work runs itself while you keep approval over anything that changes code or merge requests.

### Search your GitLab from Fabric

Alongside the assistant, connecting GitLab adds keyword search over your GitLab content from Fabric's main search, so an issue or merge request is findable by matching text in the same place you search the rest of your library, rather than searching GitLab separately.

### How people use it

**Engineers** open and update merge requests, file issues, and create branches by asking, keeping the workflow moving without leaving their train of thought. It fits how Fabric works for [developers](https://fabric.so/for/developers).

**Maintainers** let repo activity, new issues, merge requests, review requests, trigger follow-on actions like commenting or notifying.

**Teams running CI** have job events trigger follow-up steps, so what happens in a pipeline can set something else in motion.

**People with recurring repo chores** set up a scheduled [AI job](https://fabric.so/features/agents) to handle triage and review notes, while keeping approval over anything that changes code.

Subscribe to an RSS feed and every new post is saved to Fabric.

### What is the RSS Feeds connection?

The RSS Feeds connection lets you follow a source and have everything it publishes saved into Fabric on its own. Add a feed, and each time it puts out a new post, Fabric captures it automatically as a bookmark, scrapes the full page text, and files it in your library. The reading you mean to keep up with stops depending on you remembering to save it. It just arrives.

Most of the things you follow, blogs, news sites, newsletters, publications, live behind tabs you keep open as reminders and forget. This connection turns any of them into a stream that collects itself in one searchable place.

### What you get

**Every new item, captured for you.** Once a feed is connected, Fabric watches it, and each new post is saved automatically. There's no clipping, no forwarding, no remembering, the manual save you'd otherwise do for every article you want to keep is simply handled.

**The full text, not just a link.** Fabric scrapes the page, so what's captured is the article itself, its full text, and not merely a headline and a URL. That means you can actually search and work with what the piece said, rather than just knowing it exists. (Content behind a paywall is the exception, since it can't be scraped.)

**A growing archive of what you follow.** Over time, the feeds you connect build into a body of everything the sources you care about have published since you started following them, all in one place instead of scattered across sites and inboxes.

### Searchable by meaning, alongside everything else

Captured items aren't a separate list off to one side. They land in your Fabric library and get the same treatment as everything else you save. Every article is [searchable by meaning](https://fabric.so/features/search), so you can find a piece by describing what it was about, months later, even if you never read it at the time and don't recall the title or which feed it came from.

They connect outward, too. A post captured from a feed sits alongside the notes, PDFs, and clippings you've saved on the same subject, because Fabric maps the relationships across your whole library. And the [AI assistant](https://fabric.so/features/ai-assistant) can work across your captured reading, telling you what's been published on a topic, pulling together what several pieces said, or surfacing the one relevant to what you're working on now. You can read captured items in Fabric's [reader](https://fabric.so/features/reader) as well.

### How people use it

**Researchers and analysts** follow the publications and blogs in their field and let Fabric collect every new piece, so their reading builds into a searchable archive rather than a pile of open tabs.

**Founders and operators** track competitors, industry news, and the writers they learn from, and find what was published when it becomes relevant, rather than trying to remember where they saw it.

**Content creators and marketers** follow the sources they draw ideas from, so inspiration and reference collect automatically and stay searchable when it's time to make something.

**Anyone with too many tabs** points their feeds at Fabric and lets the reading they mean to get to gather in one place, findable by meaning whenever they need it.

### Frequently asked questions

**What does the RSS Feeds connection do?**

It follows an RSS feed and automatically saves every new item it publishes into Fabric, scraping the full page text so the article is captured, not just its link. Everything saved is searchable by meaning alongside the rest of your library.

**What can I point it at?**

Any RSS feed. A great many sites, blogs, news outlets, and publications offer one, so you can follow most of the sources you read this way.

**Does it capture the full article or just a link?**

The full article. Fabric scrapes the page, so the piece's text comes in and is searchable, not merely a headline and URL. The exception is content behind a paywall, which can't be scraped.

**Do I have to save each post myself?**

No. That's the point of the connection. Once a feed is connected, new posts are captured automatically as they're published, with no clipping or forwarding on your part.

**Are captured items searchable by meaning?**

Yes. They get Fabric's full treatment, [semantic search](https://fabric.so/features/search), connections to your other material, and access by the [AI assistant](https://fabric.so/features/ai-assistant), the same as anything else you save.

**Can the AI assistant work with my captured reading?**

Yes. The [AI assistant](https://fabric.so/features/ai-assistant) can tell you what's been published on a topic across your feeds, summarise what several pieces said, or surface the one relevant to what you're doing.

**What happens to older posts when I add a feed?**

The connection captures new items as the feed publishes them going forward. It's built to keep you current with a source over time, collecting what comes next.

**Can I follow more than one feed?**

Yes. Connect as many feeds as you like, and Fabric captures across all of them into the same searchable library.

**Is my data private?**

Yes. Everything in Fabric is encrypted in transit and at rest and is visible only to you. The details are in the [privacy and security guide](https://fabric.so/features/private-and-secure) and Fabric's [privacy commitment](https://fabric.so/info/privacy).

**Does Fabric work with other sources too?**

Yes. RSS Feeds is one of many [connections](https://fabric.so/features/connections). You can also bring in content from [Google Drive](https://fabric.so/marketplace/connections/google-drive/x52cHqan), [Notion](https://fabric.so/marketplace/connections/notion/S7HtdFtL), and [Gmail](https://fabric.so/marketplace/connections/gmail/5zZcTVqZ), and search across all of it together.
