What is Square?

Square is a payments and point of sale platform for in person and online businesses such as shops, cafes, salons and service providers. It handles payments, orders, invoices, customers, appointments and inventory. Much of the admin is looking things up and keeping customer and stock records right. This connection lets Fabric's assistant handle that for you, in plain language.

What Fabric's assistant can do with Square

Once Square is connected, Fabric's AI assistant can work with your Square account from a simple request.

Look things up. Find Order, Find Order by ID, Find Customer, Find Customer by ID and Find Service find orders, customers and services, so you can check a customer's last order or what a service costs without opening the dashboard.

Invoice and take orders. Create Invoice drafts an invoice and Send Invoice sends it. Create Paid Order records an order that has already been paid, and Refund Payment issues a refund.

Manage customers. Create Customer and Update Customer keep records current, Set Customer Custom Attribute stores extra details, and Add Customer to Group and Remove Customer From Group manage segments such as VIPs or wholesale accounts.

Book and stock. Create Appointment books a client into Square Appointments, and Change Inventory adjusts stock levels. API Request (Beta) reaches the Square API for anything else.

You stay in control

The assistant works from your instructions. For anything that moves money, such as a refund, or sends an invoice, it confirms with you before going ahead, unless you've told it not to for a particular task. Looking things up never changes anything.

When a job should run regularly, a Fabric AI job can run on a schedule, such as a weekly list of unpaid invoices. The connection also includes events, such as New Payment, New Order, New Invoice, New Customer and New Appointment, which can start an automation.

Search your Square records from Fabric

Connecting Square also adds keyword search over your Square records from Fabric's main search, so a customer or order is findable alongside the rest of your library.
