What is BambooHR?

BambooHR is HR software for small and medium sized businesses. It holds employee records, time off, onboarding and offboarding, documents and time tracking. People teams spend a lot of their week on small updates and questions, such as who is out today, adding a new hire or filing a signed document. This connection lets Fabric's assistant handle those for you, in plain language.

What Fabric's assistant can do with BambooHR

Once BambooHR is connected, Fabric's AI assistant can answer people questions and keep records current from a simple request.

See who is out. Get Summary of Who's Out shows who is away and when, so you can ask who is off this week before planning a meeting or a launch.

Handle time off. Respond to Time Off Request approves or denies a request, so a manager can act on it without opening BambooHR.

Keep employee records current. Find Employee looks someone up, Update Employee changes their details, such as a new title, manager or location, and Create Employee or Find or Create Employee adds a new hire. Upload Employee File files a signed offer, contract or certificate in their record.

Track time. Add Timesheet Clock Entries records clock in and clock out times for hourly staff. API Request (Beta) reaches the BambooHR API for anything else.

You stay in control

The assistant works from your instructions. For changes to employee records or time off decisions, it confirms with you before going ahead, unless you've told it not to for a particular task. Looking people up never changes anything.

When a job should run regularly, a Fabric AI job can run on a schedule, such as a Monday summary of who is out this week. The connection also includes events, such as New Employee, New Employee Started, Updated Employee, Terminated Employee and New Time Off Request, which can start an automation when something changes.

Search your people records from Fabric

Connecting BambooHR also adds keyword search over your BambooHR records from Fabric's main search, so an employee is findable alongside the rest of your library.
