What is Zoom?

Zoom is a video meetings and webinar platform used for calls, team meetings, client sessions and online events. A lot of what matters from those calls ends up in recordings, summaries and registrant lists that are hard to find later, and setting up meetings and registrations is its own small chore. This connection lets Fabric's assistant handle both, in plain language.

What Fabric's assistant can do with Zoom

Once Zoom is connected, Fabric's AI assistant can find what happened in your meetings and set up new ones from a simple request.

Get what was said. Get Meeting Summary pulls the summary of a meeting where Zoom has generated one, so you can ask what was decided in yesterday's client call and keep it with your meeting notes in Fabric. Get recordings and Find Recording and Download locate cloud recordings and their files.

Find meetings and people. Get meetings and Find Meeting/Webinar look up meetings and webinars, Find Meeting or Webinar Participants shows who attended, and Find Webinar Registrants lists who signed up. Ask who joined last week's webinar and you get the list without exporting a report.

Set up and change meetings. Create Meeting schedules a meeting and Update Zoom Meeting changes its time, topic or settings. Create Meeting Registrant and Create Webinar Registrant register people, which helps when sign ups arrive by email or from another tool.

Tidy up recordings. Delete Meeting Recordings removes recordings you no longer need. API Request (Beta) reaches the Zoom API for anything else.

You stay in control

The assistant works from your instructions. For anything that removes data, such as deleting recordings, it confirms with you before going ahead, unless you've told it not to for a particular task. Finding meetings and reading summaries never changes anything.

When a job should run regularly, a Fabric AI job can run on a schedule, such as collecting the week's meeting summaries into one note every Friday. The connection also includes events, such as New Meeting Ended, New Meeting Summary, New Cloud Recording and New Webinar Registrant, which can start an automation when something happens in Zoom.

Search your meetings from Fabric

Connecting Zoom also adds keyword search over your Zoom records from Fabric's main search, so a meeting is findable alongside the rest of your library. For recordings you upload to Fabric, Fabric's own audio and video transcription makes what was said searchable too.
