What is Telnyx?
Telnyx is a communications platform with programmable voice, messaging and fax over its own global network, plus phone numbers in many countries. Businesses use it to send texts, place calls and run phone systems. This connection lets Fabric's assistant send messages and place calls for you, in plain language.
What Fabric's assistant can do with Telnyx
Once Telnyx is connected, Fabric's AI assistant can use your Telnyx numbers from a simple request.
Send messages. Send SMS, Send MMS and Send Short Code SMS send texts from your Telnyx numbers, such as a reminder written in Fabric.
Place calls. Dial a Number and TeXML Outbound Call start calls, and Speak Text and Play Audio say a message or play a recording on a call.
Send faxes. Send a Fax sends a document by fax. List TeXML Applications shows the voice applications on your account.
You stay in control
The assistant works from your instructions, and it confirms with you before sending any message, fax or call, unless you've told it not to for a particular task. Messages and calls are billed to your Telnyx account.
When a job should run regularly, a Fabric AI job can run on a schedule, such as texting a daily summary to your phone. The connection also includes events, such as Receive a Message, Receive a Call, Receive a Fax, New Recording and Message Status Updated, which can start an automation.
