Create and look up incidents, alerts and pulses in Rootly.
Powered by Zapier.
Rootly is an incident management and on call platform that runs incident response in Slack, with automated workflows, status pages, retrospectives and Pulses for tracking changes such as deploys. This connection lets Fabric's assistant create and look up incidents, alerts and pulses, in plain language.
Once Rootly is connected, Fabric's AI assistant can work with Rootly from a simple request.
Incidents. Create Incident declares an incident, and Get Incident returns its details.
Alerts. Create Alert raises an alert, and Get Alert looks one up.
Pulses. Create Pulse records a change, such as a deploy or config change, so responders can see what changed, and Get Pulse returns one.
The assistant works from your instructions, and it confirms with you before declaring incidents or raising alerts, since those can page people, unless you've told it not to for a particular task. Looking things up never changes anything.
A Fabric AI job can run on a schedule, such as a weekly incident summary written to a note.
Connecting Rootly also adds keyword search over its records from Fabric's main search.
Engineering teams declare an incident from a customer report.
Developers record a deploy as a pulse.
Engineering managers pull incident details into a retrospective doc in Fabric.
