What is RingCentral?

RingCentral is a cloud communications platform for business phone, SMS, fax, video meetings and team messaging. Companies use it as their phone system and for internal chat. This connection lets Fabric's assistant send messages, place calls and manage contacts for you, in plain language.

What Fabric's assistant can do with RingCentral

Once RingCentral is connected, Fabric's AI assistant can communicate from a simple request.

Text people. Send SMS/MMS sends a text or picture message from your business number, and Send SMS via Message Threads sends within a conversation thread.

Call and meet. Generate Ringout Call connects your phone to another number, and Create Video Meeting sets up a RingCentral video meeting.

Post to your team. Create Post posts a message in RingCentral team messaging, for example a summary written in Fabric.

Send a fax. Send Fax sends a fax, for the times a document still has to go that way.

Manage contacts. Find Contact, Create Contact and Update Contact keep your RingCentral contacts current. API Request (Beta) reaches the RingCentral API for anything else.

You stay in control

The assistant works from your instructions, and it confirms with you before sending messages, faxes or placing calls, unless you've told it not to for a particular task.

When a job should run regularly, a Fabric AI job can run on a schedule, such as texting appointment reminders each afternoon. The connection also includes events, such as Missed Call, New Voicemail, New SMS/MMS Received, New Call Recording and New Fax Received, which can start an automation.

Connecting RingCentral also adds keyword search over your RingCentral contacts from Fabric's main search.

Can it read my voicemails?

There is no action for reading voicemails. New Voicemail is an event that can start an automation.

Does the assistant message people on its own?

No. It acts on your instructions.

Is my data secure?
