Find, draft, and send email, and manage your calendar in Microsoft 365.
Powered by Zapier.
Microsoft Office 365, now Microsoft 365, is Microsoft's suite of work apps, with email, calendar and contacts in Outlook at its center. Most of the working day runs through the inbox and calendar, and keeping them under control is constant work. This connection lets Fabric's assistant handle your Microsoft 365 email, calendar and contacts for you, in plain language.
Once Office 365 is connected, Fabric's AI assistant can work in your mailbox and calendar from a simple request.
Find what you need in email. Find Emails and Find Emails in Specific Folder search your mailbox, and Get Attachment by ID pulls an attachment. Ask for the latest contract a client sent and you get it without scrolling.
Reply, draft and send. Create Draft Reply and Create Draft Email write a draft for you to review, Send Draft Email sends it, and Reply to Email, Forward Email and Send Email handle the rest.
Keep the inbox in order. Move Email to Folder, Copy Email, Create Folder, Flag / Unflag Email, Mark Email as Read/Unread, Set Email Importance, Set Categories on an Email and Remove Categories From Email triage messages, and Delete Email removes them.
Manage your calendar. Get Calendar Events in Date Range and Find Calendar Event show your schedule, Create Event and Update Calendar Event book and change meetings, Add Attendees to Calendar Event invites people, and Delete Event cancels.
Keep contacts current. Find a Contact, Find or Create Contact, Create Contact, Update Contact and Delete Contact manage your contacts, and Add User to Distribution List adds someone to a group.
The assistant works from your instructions. For anything that sends email, deletes messages or events, or invites people, it confirms with you before going ahead, unless you've told it not to for a particular task. Reading and finding never changes anything.
When a job should run regularly, a Fabric AI job can run on a schedule, such as a morning summary of today's meetings and flagged emails. The connection also includes events, such as New Email, New Email Matching Search, New Flagged Email, New Calendar Event and Calendar Event Start, which can start an automation.
Connecting Office 365 also adds keyword search over your Microsoft 365 records from Fabric's main search.
Busy professionals ask for a summary of unread emails from clients and draft replies to review.
Executive assistants book meetings, add attendees and move them when plans change.
Account managers find the last thread with a customer before a call.
Consultants file emails into client folders and flag the ones that need action.
What does the Microsoft Office 365 connection do?
It lets Fabric's assistant find, draft, reply to, forward, send, move, flag, categorize and delete emails, manage calendar events and attendees, and manage contacts and distribution lists in Microsoft 365, and it adds keyword search in Fabric.
How is this different from the Microsoft Outlook connection?
Both work with Microsoft email and calendar. Office 365 adds actions such as distribution lists and email categories. You can also connect Microsoft Outlook.
Can I reply to emails with AI?
Yes. The assistant drafts the reply for you to review, and Send Draft Email sends it after you confirm.
Can it schedule meetings?
Yes. Create Event books a meeting and Add Attendees to Calendar Event invites people.
Can it organize my inbox?
Yes. It can move, flag, categorize and mark emails, and create folders.
Will it send or delete email without asking?
No. Sending and deleting need your confirmation, unless you've told it not to for a specific task.
Is my Microsoft 365 data secure?
Everything in Fabric is encrypted in transit and at rest, and the connection acts on your account with your authorization. See the privacy and security guide.
Does this work through MCP or the API?
Fabric also exposes your library and connected tools to external AI through its MCP server and API.
Does Fabric work with other Microsoft tools?
Yes. You can also connect Microsoft Teams and many other connections.
