Find workers and records, handle hiring, time off, approvals and supplier records in Workday.
Powered by Zapier.
Workday is enterprise software for human resources, payroll and finance, used to manage workers, hiring, time off, compensation, suppliers and invoices. Finding the right record and completing routine steps can take many clicks. This connection lets Fabric's assistant do much of it for you, in plain language.
Once Workday is connected, Fabric's AI assistant can work with Workday from a simple request.
Find people and records. Find Worker by Email, Get Worker Documents and Find Records look up workers and data, and Run WQL Query runs a Workday Query Language query for reports.
Hiring and workers. Create Job Requisition, Create Position, Create Pre-Hire, Hire Employee and Contract Contingent Worker cover hiring. Change Job, Update Compensation and Submit Feedback for Worker handle changes to existing workers.
Time and tasks. Create Time Off Request and Create Worker Time Block record time, and Approve Task completes an item in your inbox.
Suppliers and payables. Find Supplier, Find Supplier Invoice, Find Purchase Order and Find Supplier Payment look up finance records, and Update Supplier, Update Supplier Invoice and Create Supplier Credit Memo keep them current.
The assistant works from your instructions, and it confirms with you before any hire, compensation change, approval or finance update, unless you've told it not to for a particular task. Looking things up never changes anything, and it acts within your Workday permissions.
When a job should run regularly, a Fabric AI job can run on a schedule, such as a weekly summary of open requisitions. The connection also includes events, such as New Hire Created, Leave Request Submitted, Expense Report Submitted, New Inbox Task and Business Process Event Completed, which can start an automation.
Connecting Workday also adds keyword search over its records from Fabric's main search.
People ops teams open requisitions and create pre-hires from approved headcount plans.
Managers submit feedback for a team member from notes in Fabric.
Finance teams look up a supplier invoice before answering a vendor.
Employees request time off by asking the assistant.
