Find and manage users and groups in Okta.
Powered by Zapier.
Okta is an identity and access management platform that gives employees single sign on to their apps and lets IT manage users, groups and access in one place. Onboarding, offboarding and group changes are the routine work. This connection lets Fabric's assistant help with it, in plain language.
Once Okta is connected, Fabric's AI assistant can work with Okta from a simple request.
Look up users and groups. Find User by Email, Find Group by Name, Find Group Members and Find User's Groups show who has access to what.
Manage users. The assistant can create, activate, suspend and deactivate users.
Manage groups. It can add users to groups and remove them. API Request (Beta) reaches the Okta API for anything else.
The assistant works from your instructions, and it confirms with you before creating, suspending or deactivating users or changing group membership, since those change access, unless you've told it not to for a particular task. Looking things up never changes anything.
When a job should run regularly, a Fabric AI job can run on a schedule, such as a weekly list of members in an admin group. The connection also includes the event New Event, which can start an automation.
Connecting Okta also adds keyword search over its records from Fabric's main search.
IT admins add a new hire to the right groups.
People teams deactivate a leaver on their last day.
Security teams check who is in a sensitive group.
