Create and copy boards and add cards in Miro.
Powered by Zapier.
Miro is an online collaborative whiteboard used by teams for brainstorming, workshops, diagrams, planning and design, with templates and real time collaboration. This connection lets Fabric's assistant create boards and cards, in plain language.
Once Miro is connected, Fabric's AI assistant can work in Miro from a simple request.
Create boards. Create Board starts a new board, and Copy Board duplicates one, such as a workshop template.
Add cards. Create Card adds a card to a board, for example each action item or idea from your notes in Fabric.
Make API requests. API Request (Beta) reaches the Miro API for anything else, such as adding sticky notes.
The assistant works from your instructions, and it confirms with you before creating or copying boards, unless you've told it not to for a particular task.
A Fabric AI job can run on a schedule, such as copying a retro board for each sprint.
Product teams copy a retro template for each sprint.
Facilitators add ideas from a brainstorm doc as cards before a workshop.
Designers start a new board for a project.
What does the Miro connection do?
It lets Fabric's assistant create and copy boards, create cards and make API requests to Miro.
Can I create a Miro board with AI?
Yes. Ask the assistant and it creates the board.
Can it add my notes to a board?
Yes. Create Card adds each item as a card.
Can it copy a template board?
Yes. Copy Board duplicates it.
Can it read what is on a board?
Not with a dedicated action. API Request (Beta) can reach the Miro API.
Does the assistant create boards on its own?
No. It acts on your instructions.
Is my data secure?
Everything in Fabric is encrypted in transit and at rest, and the connection acts on your account with your authorization. See the privacy and security guide.
Does Fabric have a whiteboard too?
Yes. Fabric has a canvas for visual work, and you can use it for brainstorming.
Fabric is an AI workspace for your projects, ideas, and files.
Save anything – PDFs, images, links, notes, voice memos, videos – and search across all of it by meaning, not just keywords. Think visually on an infinite canvas, connect your tools like Gmail, Google Drive, Notion, and Figma, and work alongside a personal AI assistant that knows your work, remembers your context, and gets smarter the more you use it.
Available on web, iOS, Android, and desktop.
