Find files, update lists, and publish pages in SharePoint.
Powered by Zapier.
Microsoft SharePoint is Microsoft 365's platform for team sites, document libraries, lists and intranet pages. Organizations use it to store shared files and run internal sites. Finding the right file or list item across sites and folders is often the hard part. This connection lets Fabric's assistant find and manage SharePoint content for you, in plain language.
Once SharePoint is connected, Fabric's AI assistant can work with your sites from a simple request.
Find files and sites. Find File or Folder, Get File or Folder by ID, Get Folder Contents, Find Site and Get Site Information by ID locate content, and Get Item Permissions shows who has access. Ask where the latest version of the policy deck is and you get the link.
Manage documents. Upload File, Create Text File and Create Folder add content, Move or Rename Item and Copy File or Folder reorganize it, Replace File swaps in a new version, Export File converts a file, and Delete File or Folder removes it. Get Copy Job Status tracks a copy in progress.
Work with lists. Find List Item, Get List Item by ID, Create List Item, Update List Item and Delete List Item manage list data, and Create List sets up a new list, so a tracker kept in SharePoint can be updated by asking.
Publish pages. Create Page, Get Page by ID, Publish Page and Delete Page manage intranet pages, for example publishing an announcement drafted in Fabric.
Share. Create Sharing Link and Create Sharing Invitation share content, and Remove Item Permission takes access away. API Request (Beta) reaches the Microsoft Graph API for anything else.
The assistant works from your instructions. For anything that removes data, changes access or publishes a page, it confirms with you before going ahead, unless you've told it not to for a particular task. Finding content never changes anything.
When a job should run regularly, a Fabric AI job can run on a schedule, such as a weekly update to a status list. The connection also includes events, such as New File in Folder, New or Updated File, New List Item and New or Updated Page, which can start an automation.
Connecting SharePoint also adds keyword search over your SharePoint content from Fabric's main search, so a document is findable alongside the rest of your library. That is the idea behind one search, and it helps teams that run a company brain on legacy systems.
Operations teams update a SharePoint tracker list after each meeting.
Internal comms publish an announcement page from a draft in Fabric.
Project teams share a folder with an external partner and check permissions.
Anyone new to a company finds the right document across sites by describing it.
