Find notes and add or append pages in OneNote.
Powered by Zapier.
Microsoft OneNote is Microsoft's digital notebook, organized into notebooks, sections and pages. People use it for meeting notes, research, class notes and personal planning. This connection lets Fabric's assistant find and add notes for you, in plain language.
Once OneNote is connected, Fabric's AI assistant can work with your notebooks from a simple request.
Find notes. Find Note, Find Notebook and Find Section locate what you need, so you can pull up last month's project notes without opening OneNote.
Add notes. Create Note and Create Note in Section add a page where you want it, Append Note adds to an existing page, and Create Image Note adds an image. Create Page or Note From URL Link saves a web page as a note. API Request (Beta) reaches the OneNote API for anything else.
The assistant works from your instructions, and finding notes never changes anything.
When a job should run regularly, a Fabric AI job can run on a schedule, such as appending a weekly summary to a running notebook page. The connection also includes the event New Note in Section, which can start an automation.
Connecting OneNote also adds keyword search over your OneNote content from Fabric's main search, so notes are findable alongside the rest of your library. Fabric also has its own notes and docs.
Microsoft 365 teams append meeting decisions to a shared project notebook.
Students save articles to a OneNote section for a course.
Researchers find old notes on a topic by describing them.
