Create to-dos, post updates, and manage projects in Basecamp.
Powered by Zapier.
Basecamp is project management and team communication software from 37signals, organizing each project into to-dos, a message board, docs and files, a schedule and a group chat called Campfire. Keeping projects current and the team informed is the daily work. This connection lets Fabric's assistant handle it for you, in plain language.
Once Basecamp is connected, Fabric's AI assistant can work in your projects from a simple request.
See what is going on. Get Projects in Account, Find Project, Get Project by ID, Get To-Do Lists in a Project, Get To-Dos in a To-Do List, Find To-Do, Find To-Do List, Find To-Do Set, Find Document and Find Person show where things stand. Ask what is still open on the website project and who owns it.
Turn plans into to-dos. Create To-Do, Create To-Do List and Find or Create To-Do List break work down, and Update To-Do changes assignees, dates or completion. Create Comment on Todo adds context. The action items from your meeting notes can become assigned to-dos in one request.
Keep the team informed. Create Message posts to the message board, Create Comment on Message replies, and Create Campfire Message posts in the group chat.
Docs, files and schedule. Create Document and Find or Create Document add docs, Upload File adds files, and Create Schedule Entry and Update Schedule Entry manage dates.
Set up projects. Create Project, Create Project From Template and Find or Create Project start work, and Add Person to a Project brings people in.
The assistant works from your instructions, and it confirms with you before posting messages or adding people to projects, unless you've told it not to for a particular task. Finding things never changes anything.
When a job should run regularly, a Fabric AI job can run on a schedule, such as a Friday summary of completed to-dos posted to the message board. The connection also includes events, such as New To-Do, To-Do Completed/Uncompleted, New Message, New Comment and New Document, which can start an automation.
Connecting Basecamp also adds keyword search over your Basecamp records from Fabric's main search.
Project managers turn kickoff notes into to-do lists with owners and dates.
Agency owners start a client project from a template and add the client team.
Team leads post a weekly update to the message board from Fabric.
Consultants upload deliverables to the right project.
What does the Basecamp connection do?
It lets Fabric's assistant find and read projects, to-dos, lists, documents and people, create and update to-dos and lists, post messages, comments and Campfire messages, create documents, schedule entries and projects, upload files and add people, and it adds keyword search over Basecamp in Fabric.
