What is Amazon S3?
Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Service) is the object storage service from Amazon Web Services. Teams use it to store files, backups, exports, media and data in buckets. This connection lets Fabric's assistant upload and fetch files in S3, in plain language.
What Fabric's assistant can do with Amazon S3
Once Amazon S3 is connected, Fabric's AI assistant can work with your buckets from a simple request.
Upload files. Upload File puts a file into a bucket, for example a report or export from Fabric.
Save text. Create Text Object writes text, such as notes, JSON or CSV, straight into a new object.
Fetch objects. Get Object retrieves a file from a bucket so you can work with it in Fabric.
Create buckets. Create Bucket sets up a new bucket.
You stay in control
The assistant works from your instructions, and it confirms with you before creating buckets or overwriting objects, unless you've told it not to for a particular task. Fetching an object never changes anything.
When a job should run regularly, a Fabric AI job can run on a schedule, such as saving a weekly export to a bucket. The connection also includes the events New Bucket and New or Updated File, which can start an automation.

Connecting Amazon S3 also adds keyword search over its records from Fabric's main search.
