What is WordPress?

WordPress is the most widely used website platform, powering blogs, company sites and online stores. Publishing means getting a draft into the editor with the right formatting, images and settings, and keeping posts and users current. This connection lets Fabric's assistant handle that for you, in plain language.

What Fabric's assistant can do with WordPress

Once WordPress is connected, Fabric's AI assistant can publish and manage content from a simple request.

Publish from your drafts. Create Post adds a post as a draft or published, with the title, content, categories and tags you give it. Write the post in Fabric as part of your content planning and have the assistant put it into WordPress. Upload Media adds an image or file to the media library.

Keep posts current. Find Post looks up a post and Update Post changes it, for example updating a price, a date or a link across older posts.

Manage users. Find User, Create User, Update User and Find or Create User manage site users, such as adding a guest author. API Request (Beta) reaches the WordPress REST API for anything else.

You stay in control

The assistant works from your instructions, and it confirms with you before publishing or changing live posts, unless you've told it not to for a particular task. Finding posts never changes your site.

When a job should run regularly, a Fabric AI job can run on a schedule, such as publishing a weekly roundup post. The connection also includes events, such as New Post, Updated Post, New Comment and New User, which can start an automation.

Search your posts from Fabric

Connecting WordPress also adds keyword search over your WordPress records from Fabric's main search, so a post is findable alongside your drafts and research.

How people use it

Content marketers finish a post in Fabric and add it to WordPress as a draft for review.

Writers upload images and publish a post in one request.

WordPress agencies add a guest author account and their first post for a client.

Site owners update a detail across several older posts.
