What is SendGrid?
SendGrid, part of Twilio, is an email delivery platform used by businesses and developers to send transactional email and marketing campaigns at scale. It also stores contacts and lists for marketing sends. This connection lets Fabric's assistant send email and manage contacts for you, in plain language.
What Fabric's assistant can do with SendGrid
Once SendGrid is connected, Fabric's AI assistant can work with SendGrid from a simple request.
Send email. Send Email sends an email through your SendGrid account, useful for a one off announcement, a confirmation or a notification from your own sending domain.
Manage contacts. Create or Update Contact adds or updates a marketing contact, and Find List by Name finds the list to put them on. A list of sign ups from an event in Fabric can go straight into SendGrid. API Request (Beta) reaches the SendGrid API for anything else.
You stay in control
The assistant works from your instructions, and it confirms with you before sending email, unless you've told it not to for a particular task. Sends count toward your SendGrid plan.
When a job should run regularly, a Fabric AI job can run on a schedule, such as adding the week's new sign ups to a list.

Connecting SendGrid also adds keyword search over its records from Fabric's main search.
