What is Remote?

Remote is a global HR platform for hiring and paying employees and contractors in other countries through its employer of record service, covering contracts, payroll, benefits, time off and expenses. This connection lets Fabric's assistant look up employees and handle time off, expenses and invites, in plain language.

What Fabric's assistant can do with Remote

Once Remote is connected, Fabric's AI assistant can work in Remote from a simple request.

Look up people. The assistant can list and get employees, employment contracts, custom field values and company managers, and get time off details.

Record time off and expenses. Create Approved Time Off records time off that is already approved, and Create Approved Expense records an approved expense.

Invite and update employees. Invite Employment sends an employee their invitation, and Update Employment Work Email changes their work email.

Pay contractors. Create Contractor Invoice Schedule sets up recurring contractor invoices.

You stay in control

The assistant works from your instructions, and it confirms with you before recording expenses, setting up invoice schedules, or inviting employees, since those affect pay and onboarding, unless you've told it not to for a particular task. Looking things up never changes anything.

When a job should run regularly, a Fabric AI job can run on a schedule, such as a weekly list of who is on leave. The connection also includes many events, such as Time Off Requested, Employment Start Date Changed and New Contractor Invoice, which can start an automation.
