What is Guru?

Guru is an AI powered knowledge base and enterprise search tool where teams keep verified answers as cards, organized in collections and kept accurate by subject matter experts. This connection lets Fabric's assistant search Guru, ask it questions and keep cards up to date, in plain language.

What Fabric's assistant can do with Guru

Once Guru is connected, Fabric's AI assistant can work with Guru from a simple request.

Ask and search. Ask a Question and Search With Sources answer from your Guru knowledge, with sources. Find Card and Find Tag look things up, and the assistant can find archived cards.

Create and maintain cards. Create Card and Find or Create Card add knowledge, for example a process written in Fabric. The assistant can add tags, verify or unverify cards, archive and restore them, and create a PDF of a card.

Manage people and groups. It can invite and remove users, create groups, and add or remove people from groups.

You stay in control

The assistant works from your instructions, and it confirms with you before archiving cards, verifying content, or inviting and removing users, unless you've told it not to for a particular task. Searching never changes anything.

When a job should run regularly, a Fabric AI job can run on a schedule, such as a weekly list of cards that need verifying. The connection also includes many events, such as Card Created, Card Updated, Card Unverified and Announcement Sent, which can start an automation.
