What is Exa?
Exa is a search engine built for AI, with neural web search, page content retrieval, cited answers and longer research tasks through an API. This connection lets Fabric's assistant search the web and run research with Exa, in plain language.
What Fabric's assistant can do with Exa
Once Exa is connected, Fabric's AI assistant can research from a simple request.
Search the web. Perform Web Search finds relevant pages, and Get Webpage Content returns their text.
Get answers. Generate Answer returns an answer with sources.
Run research tasks. Create Research Task starts a deeper research job, and Get Research Task returns the result when it is ready. The findings can go straight into a note in Fabric.
You stay in control
The assistant works from your instructions, and searches and research tasks use your Exa plan. Searching never changes anything.
