Buffer is a social media management tool for planning, scheduling and publishing posts across channels such as Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Facebook and TikTok. Teams keep a queue of scheduled posts and a list of ideas for later. This connection lets Fabric's assistant add to both for you, in plain language.

What Fabric's assistant can do with Buffer

Once Buffer is connected, Fabric's AI assistant can work with your queue from a simple request.

Queue posts. Add to Queue adds a post to a channel's queue so it goes out at the next scheduled slot. Write a set of posts in Fabric from a blog article or a launch plan, and the assistant queues them across your channels.

Capture ideas. Create Idea saves a post idea to Buffer for later, so a good line from a meeting or an article you saved in Fabric does not get lost.

Pause publishing. Pause Queue stops a channel's queue, for example during a crisis or a product incident when scheduled posts would be out of place.

You stay in control

The assistant works from your instructions, and it confirms with you before queuing posts or pausing a queue, unless you've told it not to for a particular task.

When a job should run regularly, a Fabric AI job can run on a schedule, such as queuing the week's posts from your content plan every Monday. The connection also includes events, such as New Sent Item, New Queue Item, New Idea Item and New Draft Item, which can start an automation.
