What is Acuity Scheduling?

Acuity Scheduling, part of Squarespace, is online booking software for service businesses such as coaches, therapists, salons and consultants. Clients book appointments themselves, and the business manages availability, packages and coupons. The day to day work is finding appointments, keeping client details right and blocking off time. This connection lets Fabric's assistant do that for you, in plain language.

What Fabric's assistant can do with Acuity Scheduling

Once Acuity is connected, Fabric's AI assistant can work with your bookings from a simple request.

Find appointments. Find Appointments by Client Info finds a client's appointments by name, email or phone, and Find Appointment by ID pulls a specific booking. Ask when a client is next booked and you get the answer without opening your calendar.

Keep client details current. Add or Update Client adds a client or updates their details.

Manage your availability. Add Blocked Off Time blocks time on your calendar, such as a holiday, a training day or an afternoon off.

Run offers. Add Coupon Code and Add Package Code create codes for discounts and prepaid packages. API Request (Beta) reaches the Acuity API for anything else.

You stay in control

The assistant works from your instructions, and it confirms with you before blocking time or creating codes, unless you've told it not to for a particular task. Looking up appointments never changes anything.

When a job should run regularly, a Fabric AI job can run on a schedule, such as a morning list of today's appointments. The connection also includes events, such as New Appointment, Appointment Canceled, Appointment Rescheduled and Appointment Start, which can start an automation.

Search your appointments from Fabric

Connecting Acuity also adds keyword search over your Acuity records from Fabric's main search, so a booking is findable alongside your client notes.

What does the Acuity Scheduling connection do?

Can I look up a client's appointments with AI?

Yes. Give the assistant a name, email or phone number and Find Appointments by Client Info finds their bookings.

Can it block off time on my calendar?

Yes. Add Blocked Off Time blocks the time you describe, after you confirm.

Can it create coupon codes?

Yes. Add Coupon Code creates a discount code, and Add Package Code creates a code for a package.

Can it book or cancel appointments?

Not with the standard actions. API Request (Beta) can reach other parts of the Acuity API.

Does the assistant change bookings on its own?

No. It acts on your instructions.

Is my Acuity data secure?

Everything in Fabric is encrypted in transit and at rest, and the connection acts on your account with your authorization. See the privacy and security guide.
