Publish CMS items from your drafts and fulfill Webflow orders.
Powered by Zapier.
Webflow is a visual website builder with a built in CMS and ecommerce. Designers and marketing teams use it to build and run sites, with blog posts, case studies, job listings and products stored as CMS items. Getting content from a draft into the right collection, and keeping it current, is where the time goes. This connection lets Fabric's assistant handle that for you, in plain language.
Once Webflow is connected, Fabric's AI assistant can work with your CMS and store orders from a simple request.
Publish from your drafts. Create Item adds an item to a CMS collection as a draft, and Create Live Item adds it and publishes it. Write a post, case study or job listing in Fabric, as part of your content planning, and the assistant puts it into the right collection with the fields filled in.
Keep the site current. Find Item and Find Live Item look up existing CMS items, and Update Item and Update Live Item change them. Ask the assistant to update a price across plan pages, fix a detail in a set of posts or mark a role as filled, and it finds the items and applies the change.
Handle orders. For Webflow Ecommerce sites, Update Order changes an order's details and Fulfill Order marks it as fulfilled. API Request (Beta) reaches the Webflow API for anything else.
The assistant works from your instructions. Before publishing live content or fulfilling orders, it confirms with you, unless you've told it not to for a particular task. Finding items never changes your site.
When a job should run regularly, a Fabric AI job can run on a schedule, such as publishing a weekly roundup post. The connection also includes events, such as New Form Submission, New Order, Updated Order and New Comment, which can start an automation when something happens on your site.
Connecting Webflow also adds keyword search over your CMS items from Fabric's main search, so a post or page is findable alongside the rest of your library.
Content marketers finish a post in Fabric and add it to the blog collection as a draft for review.
Webflow agencies update team members or case studies across a client site from a list in their notes.
Recruiters mark filled roles as closed in the careers collection.
Small shop owners fulfill the day's shipped orders in one request.
What does the Webflow connection do?
It lets Fabric's assistant find, create and update CMS items, as drafts or live, and update and fulfill ecommerce orders, and it adds keyword search over your CMS in Fabric.
Can I publish a Webflow blog post with AI?
Yes. Give the assistant the post and the collection. Create Item adds it as a draft and Create Live Item publishes it.
What is the difference between an item and a live item?
An item is saved in the CMS but not yet published. A live item is published on the site. The assistant has tools for both.
Can it update existing CMS items?
Yes. It finds the items you describe and updates them with Update Item or Update Live Item.
Can it fulfill Webflow orders?
Yes. Fulfill Order marks an order as fulfilled, and Update Order changes its details.
Does it change my page designs?
No. The connection works with CMS items and orders, not page layouts in the Designer.
Does the assistant publish on its own?
No. It acts on your instructions, and it confirms before publishing live content, unless you've told it not to for a specific task.
Is my Webflow data secure?
Everything in Fabric is encrypted in transit and at rest, and the connection acts on your sites with your authorization. See the privacy and security guide.
How does Webflow compare to Framer?
Both are visual site builders with different strengths. See Framer vs Webflow.
Does Fabric work with other tools alongside Webflow?
Yes. You can also connect Figma, Google Docs, Notion and Shopify.
