Fabric vs Mem
Fabric AI can search your entire library of notes—not just the currently opened note. When you use the search feature or ask Fabric AI a question, it looks across all your saved notes, documents, and content in your account to find relevant information. This makes it easy to surface insights, references, or details from any part of your collection, without needing to remember where you saved something. If you want to refine your search or focus on a specific notebook or tag, there are filter options available as well. Let me know if you want tips on making the most of Fabric’s search or AI features!

My Assessment So Far
I've spent about an hour tonight experimenting with the Fabric AI notebook, and I'm very impressed. Its features far outweigh Mem, particularly in bookmarking web pages and public note sharing. I can resize images, and there's auto-title tagging.
It has a universal AI that seems similar to Mem. The tagging feature is great because it allows for quickly filtering items by tags. I can click on a tag inside of a note or bookmark, and it will show all the related tagged items. I'm not sure about the self-organizing notes or how that really works, and I'm not as impressed with the user interface compared to Mem. However, Fabric's user interface provides thumbnail images of bookmarked web pages.
I don't believe that Mem will ever have a bookmarking feature like this, and I can see Fabric replacing my bookmarking app, Cubox. I can see it replacing the text inside of the bookmarked articles on web pages. The ability to quickly bookmark articles is very useful and something that will probably never appear in Mem.
Also, Fabric is $5 a month, which is a lot cheaper than Mem. While Mem version 2 doesn't have a price yet, I think Fabric will be cheaper. It seems like the AI in both applications is pretty similar.
