# Supported files

> Fabric is designed to support any type of file, with enhanced capabilities for important common types.

## What files can I save to Fabric?

Anything! The key thing to note is that some files have enhanced support (see below), and others may only exist as a simple file in your Fabric cloud, which you can then download or view using your device.

## What files have enhanced Fabric support?

  AI assistant support means that the file is analyzed and understood by your Fabric AI assistant.

  AI search support means that the file can be found by describing its contents etc.
